SMS Text Message Program
Last updated: August 30, 2026
1. Who sends these messages
Standara, Inc. provides field service management software to alarm, security, and fire protection companies. When one of those companies schedules or dispatches a service call for you, Standara sends the text message on that company's behalf. Every message identifies the company you do business with by name, so you always know who is contacting you.
These are service messages about your appointment. Standara does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages, and does not send text messages on its own behalf to your service company's customers.
2. How you opt in
You opt in by giving your mobile number to your service company and agreeing to receive text messages about your service appointments. That typically happens when you book or schedule a service call — over the phone with their office, in person with a technician, or on a form or agreement they provide.
Your service company records that agreement against your contact record in Standara, including the date it was given and where it was collected. No text messages are sent to a number without that recorded agreement. Providing your mobile number is not a condition of purchasing any product or service, and consent is never bought, sold, rented, or transferred from another party.
3. What you will receive
Messages relate to a service appointment you have with your service company. Examples of the actual messages sent:
- “Acme Security is confirming you have a service call scheduled for Sep 18, 2:00 PM.”
- “Acme Security: the technician is currently en route with an ETA of 20 minutes.”
Message frequency variesand depends on your service activity — typically only when an appointment is scheduled or a technician is on the way. Most customers receive a small number of messages per service visit.
Message and data rates may apply.Standara does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Messages are sent between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your local time zone.
4. How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message at any timeand you will stop receiving text messages from that service company. We also honor other plain expressions of the same intent, such as END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPT OUT, and “stop texting me”.
Your number is added to a do-not-text list immediately, and no further messages are sent to it. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your service — your service company will continue to reach you by phone or email.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact your service company directly. For help with Standara itself, see standara.ai/support.
To opt back in later, ask your service company to re-enable text messages on your contact record.
5. Your mobile number and your privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the service messages described above, and is shared only with the messaging provider that transmits them on our behalf and with the service company whose customer you are.
Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
